Leaderonomics Ventures

We don't start with founders. We start with problems.

We're a restorative venture studio. We find real problems in Malaysian workplaces, schools and communities, then bring together the people who care about solving them. Together we build ventures that are profitable, scalable, and heal what is broken.

Problem-firstEvery venture begins with a pain point surfaced from the field, not a pitch deck.
Ecosystem-fedTwo living ecosystems, community and organisational, constantly surface what Malaysia needs fixed.
RestorativeWe build ventures not to escape the broken world, but to heal it.
Our approach

Not founder-driven.
Problem-driven.

Most incubators wait for an entrepreneur to walk in with an idea. We go out and find the problem first. We study it, gather everyone who cares about it, and start solving it together. Founders join once there's a working prototype, so they step into a problem worth solving, a community behind it and a solution that already shows promise.

The typical studio

Founder → idea → funding

  1. A founder arrives with an idea
  2. The studio decides whether to back the person
  3. The founder searches for a problem that fits the idea
  4. Success rests on one person's heroics
Leaderonomics Ventures

Problem → community → prototype → founder

  1. Real problems surface from our ecosystem
  2. We validate and size them with the people who live with them
  3. Experts, practitioners and users solve it together
  4. A prototype is built and founders come in to lead it
  5. Shared services, process and the ecosystem help it scale

Problem-first

We start with real pain points surfaced from the field, not with the founder.

Ecosystem-fed

Problems flow in from MAD, Momenta and every venture in our portfolio.

Restorative frame

Every venture must answer one question: does it restore what is broken?

Shared services

Finance, HR, IT, admin and go-to-market muscle de-risk leaders so they can focus on fixing the problem.

The Leaderonomics ecosystem

Two ecosystems that hear Malaysia's problems first

Leaderonomics has spent close to two decades growing people into leaders. Along the way we built two large ecosystems: one in the community and one inside organisations. Together they act as listening posts. They surface the problems that become our ventures, and later they help those ventures validate, distribute and scale.

Community ecosystem

MAD: Make A Difference

Our long-running movement mobilising young people, schools and communities to make a difference.

  • MAD Movement surfaces grassroots leadership gaps, school inequities and NGO capacity gaps
  • MAD Clubs hear directly from teachers, students and parents
  • Stemnovation sees STEM and youth-development gaps in schools

Organisational ecosystem

Momenta & Leaderonomics Services Malaysia

Our corporate learning and leadership arm, trusted by thousands of organisations.

  • 4,000+ corporate clients built over 18 years of trust
  • Client engagements surface leadership, culture and capability gaps
  • Portfolio ventures like Budaya, Eqwip and eVulx flag workforce and learning pain points
How Budaya came about

From toxic workplaces to a culture venture

Organisational ecosystem→Toxic, disengaged workplaces→Budaya

Across our corporate work we kept meeting the same pain: workplaces where trust had broken down and people dreaded Monday. Budaya was built to fix toxic workplaces, restoring the dignity of work and the sense of belonging inside organisations through a culture-transformation platform powered by Happily.ai.

How CyberArmour came about

From unemployment to cyber defenders

Community ecosystem→Unemployment & digital vulnerability→CyberArmour

Through MAD and our community work we saw talented young Malaysians without meaningful work, while businesses stayed exposed to growing cyber threats. CyberArmour brings the two together to tackle unemployment and to protect the vulnerable in digital spaces.

The restorative frame

Three ways to do business. We choose one.

Every business sits somewhere on this spectrum. We only build ventures on the right-hand side. We use the Praxis framework, which we apply in partnership with Praxis and with our resident theologian.

The exploitative way

Use the world

Extracts value and leaves damage behind.

The ethical way

Help the world

Does less harm and sometimes gives back.

The restorative way

Love the world

Heals what is broken, restores trust and builds human flourishing. This is the only way we build.

“Restorative entrepreneurship is creative restoration through sacrifice.”Praxis

Before any venture moves into full development, it has to answer:

  • What brokenness does this venture address?
  • Is the business model itself just and fair, not only the product?
  • Does it create flourishing for every stakeholder, including the most vulnerable?
  • What guardrails keep it from drifting from its purpose under commercial pressure?
How we build

The 10-stage venture journey

From sensing a problem in the field to recycling capital into the next venture, every venture moves through the same disciplined path, with clear decision gates. Select a stage to see what happens.

    How we walk with ventures

    A three-tier incubation framework

We see every venture as a trust to steward well. So we meet each one where it is and walk alongside its leaders with discipline and grace.

    Level 1

    Nurture & Discernment

Early-stage ventures discerning their mission, validating the model and testing early prototypes. We provide high-touch coaching, guidance, funding support and shared services.

    Level 2

    Growth & Alignment

Post-revenue ventures with traction, still refining go-to-market and business model. We provide strategic clarity, alignment coaching and scaling infrastructure, helping founders grow without losing their soul.

    Level 3

    Maturity & Multiplication

Profitable or near break-even ventures with strong models. We help them scale impact, grow their leadership teams and multiply restorative influence across their industries.

    Our culture

    B.E. — Beyond Expectations

We aim to give everyone who builds with us an unforgettable experience. That rests on bespoke solutions grounded in science, and on deep, intentional relationships. Five cultural beliefs shape how we work inside every venture.

Be AccountableI take personal ownership to deliver on all expectations entrusted to me.In practice: five honest feedback & goal-setting conversations a year.
Be ExcellentI accept challenges and exceed expectations in all that I do.In practice: a monthly “Going Beyond” award for the best project team.
Be SynergisticI actively seek out and lead collaborative opportunities. In practice: weekly customer synergy sessions across teams.
Be CourageousI am open to honest and authentic conversations and feedback. In practice: regular “courageous conversations” with leadership.
Be AgileI find opportunity in all circumstances and adapt myself to thrive in them.In practice: everyone leads or joins a project beyond their own scope.
    Spiritual rhythms

    Ambition, held in check

Building ventures that heal takes more than strategy. Spiritual rituals are built into our incubators as the studio's heartbeat. They keep our ambition surrendered, our pace sustainable and our ventures anchored in love.

We see good management as faithful stewardship. Every venture is a trust: a chance to shape lives and build something that lasts.

    • Restorative framingEvery venture works through its purpose with our resident theologian before it scales.
    • Founder formationWe grow founders in wisdom and servant leadership, not just commercial skill.
    • Sustainable paceRhythms of reflection and rest keep teams healthy as ventures grow.
    • Culture at scaleOur values are built into hiring, onboarding and performance as each venture grows.
